And this time, the evening starts early: before the comics take the stage, we’re hosting an AI Reality Check, a short, plain-language presentation about what AI means for our jobs, our kids, and our future. Part of a nationwide campaign happening the same day in living rooms and community spaces across the country, organized by Humans in Control. Then: three working Chicago comics, a tight room, and neighbors who came to laugh together.

  • Date: Saturday, November 14, 2026
  • 6:00 PM: AI Reality Check (Register separately)
  • 7:30 PM: Doors open for comedy
  • 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM: Comedy show
  • Location: The Shertok Underground — address shared after RSVP
  • Cost: $20 per person (covers the comics)
  • Bring: Your own drinks, snacks, and a chair (it’s a basement; that’s the charm)
